Last Resort horsetrek
The Perfect Overnighter
For horse riders looking for an unforgettable overnight adventure, the Last Resort Ride offers a rare opportunity to explore untouched landscapes on horseback. Ride 11km through native bush, rolling farmland, and rugged coastal terrain, with stunning views over White Rock and Tora. No public roads, no traffic—just you, your horse, and the wild beauty of Riversdale Station.
This unguided trek is designed for confident riders who can navigate independently across a variety of terrain.
After a night at The Last Resort, wake up to a breathtaking sunrise and a nourishing breakfast, then saddle up for the 10km return ride. This alternate route climbs to over 400m, offering stunning 360-degree views before descending to the Opouawe River and back to the homestead.
