A few rules apply to ensure the safety of the people and animals at The Last Resort.
The Last Resort Terms & Conditions
All visitors to The Last Resort must read and agree to the following Terms & Conditions prior to arriving.
Payments:
A deposit of 25% is required with all bookings.
The balance is to be paid no less than one month prior to arrival.
Payment to be made by internet banking to:
01-0671-0028119-00 and please use your surname as a reference.
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
Safety & Hazards
Accommodation is accessed through and situated on farmland and there are hazards both natural and man-made, including steep drops, uneven surfaces and trip hazards. You accept that you, and any guests or visitors, enter the property at your own risk.
You are required to ensure that all guests and any approved day visitors observe the rules and procedures in relation to the property: specified on the Website and as advised by the hosts.
Participation by you and any guests or visitors in activities including walking on the property, horse riding on the property, biking on the property, swimming, climbing trees and any other activity on the property, is done so at your and their own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept any liability for accident, loss of property or personal injury during your stay.
Cancellation & Insurance:
- If cancellation is made more than 21 days prior to your booking arrival date you may receive a full refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made with less than 21 days notice are not eligible to receive a deposit refund.
- Date changes may be requested up to 21 days prior to the booking date without penalty, subject to a mutually agreeable date being available.
- Guests are entitled to a full refund if they need to cancel because of a force majeure event that prevents them from accessing the site including: A. a natural disaster causing large scale disruption to essential services or transport routes; and B. a Metservice red weather warning issued for any period of the stay. Any cancellations made due to adverse weather conditions, or any other unforeseen reasons, can be arranged for a later date or fully refunded.
- The host reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time in the event of exceptional or unforeseen circumstances. This right will only be exercised in good faith and in exceptional circumstances such as: A. Any alteration to the property or its surroundings which may pose a safety risk for the guest; or, B. Unexpected damage or destruction at the property. In the unlikely event the host cancels under this clause, the guest may elect to receive a full refund or to credit the booking to another available date. The host’s liability will be limited to the refund of amounts paid for any part of your stay that is cancelled.
Acitivites & Access
The Last Resort is on Riversdale Station, a working farm and place of business.
All guests are required to abide by any requests from the property owner, their guide, or any staff member, and ensure they follow all rules as advised.
- Smoking, fires, and naked flames on the property must be granted permission prior to arrival. Please be advised that these activities may not be permitted on the property during certain months or at times of heightened risk of fire.
- Pets are not allowed on the property without prior approval.
- Guest names and numbers must match the booking details, or any changes advised in advance of arrival.
- Guests are required to inform the host of any damage or breakage occurring during their visit in or around the property promptly so that it can be repaired and replaced for the next booking. Guests must reimburse the host for the reasonable costs of replacement or repair of any damage caused by you or any guests or visitors.
